George J. Awad is seasoned patent and commercial lawyer having worked with domestic and international private and publicly listed companies to develop, deploy, and execute comprehensive financial, technology, intellectual asset development, commercialization, and monetization plans with aplomb. George has also founded, grown, and exited from a number of technology-focused start-ups across various industries including distributed/cloud computing, energy optimization, pharmaceutical, and business services.
Most recently, George has focused his efforts with various engagements for a number of companies delivering value through operational, corporate & legal affairs, capital raise, and commercialization services.
George has over twenty-five years of experience in technology, law, and finance. A graduate of the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, George earned a B.S.E., in Electrical Engineering. George then earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. Additionally, George returned to the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School, to complete certificate coursework in finance and accounting. George embarked on his legal career working for prestigious nationally ranked law firms focusing initially on intellectual property – patent portfolio management, licensing, and litigation and then added an additional focus of corporate law.
George is active supporter of quality education and the arts sitting or having had seats on the boards of Rowan University Foundation, Independence Charter School, and the “Philly Pops”.
